TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - A new onslaught of rains has caused the death at least eight people and left three others missing on Honduras' Caribbean coast.

Heavy rains and flash flooding in late October left at least 34 dead in Honduras before the weather briefly improved.

But the country's disaster-relief agency said on Saturday that renewed rains this week have caused death and damage anew, mainly on the country's northern coast.

About 3,000 people have been evacuated and the flooding has destroyed 113 homes in the region.
